Repurpose a glass jar - a simple gift.

I love this idea. What a nice way to make use of a glass jar, a hair pin and some flowers.

Date Stamp Gift Wrap

I love gift wrapping in brown paper and now here's a new way of embellishing that's sure to personalize your gift. This is such a great idea and super happy fun way to use a date stamp! I think it would also be great for handmade cards...Enjoy! From here.

Skip the BiG bOx Support Local Crafters (!)

These are cute, right?

Well, not only are they cute they're made locally and from organic cotton (!)

It can be hard to find old fashioned cuteness in super consumer shopping land.

If you like the idea of home made but aren't into making it yourself than try checking out your local crafters - many crafters have gone high tech and you can order online - like the maker of the cute bonnets below (Lit'l Lamb Organic Baby Products) or search engines made for the modern lover of fine and interesting [you fill in the blank] (aka Etsy).

Find Etsy here. Whoa Momma!

Here's a cute & environmentally friendly project where you can reuse plastic mesh bags from the produce section. More ideas here.

Felt Tree Bottle Holder

This is a nice host/hostess gift for sure, but I'd suggest one modification, be sure to make the base of the tree big enough so the opportunity arises for someone to wear it on their head after the bottle has been polished off (!) From here.

Cute DIY Clothing Stenciling with Freezer Paper

I like this cute idea - you could customize your child's favorite tee w/ their favorite character (our daughters is Dora right now) without having to dip in to the college fund! From here.

Gifts from the Heart at Giver's Log

I love this blog http://giverslog.com/

Amberlee’s About Me profile goes like this:

I used to edit books near the city, now I mother children in the country. GiversLog is my place to catalog ideas for life's shared moments. I write about handmade giving, thoughtful gestures, pretty packaging, happy mail, happy birthdays, big surprises, food to make and share, gifts that aren’t stuff, and about the things you make and give. I hope you'll find something to inspire you and hope you'll say hello when you drop by.
xo,
Amberlee

Don’t you just love her already?

Amberlee has fabulous ideas where the phrase “it’s the thought that counts” measures up to fabulous memorable gifts. Personally, I love her Gift Inspiration Boards where her chart of photos is actually the links to websites to DIY gift projects.

Christmas is only 100 Days, 7 Hours and 25 Minutes away – Amberlee’s site provides a great alternative to mall shopping or just a fun and pretty site to check out when you’re ready to take a breather. You can find her link in my Homemaking Blog List in the left margin.

I’ll be trying the pesto recipe complete with free printable pesto jar lables.

Who wouldn't love homemade pesto as a gift?
